Why I Decided to Learn Blender
I noticed that really cool websites have 3D models in them. I wanted to make my own 3D stuff for my website instead of using other people’s models. Blender is free and open-source, so I thought… why not?
My Plan Was Simple 😅
“I’ll just make a quick mushroom with some leaves. Easy! Should take like… 5 minutes?”
Spoiler alert: It didn’t take 5 minutes.
The Reality
I started modeling and thought “Okay, this looks good!”
Then I looked at it from a different angle… “Wait, no no, it looks better from THIS angle.”
Then I looked at the lighting… “Hmm, maybe with some blue color in the lights?”
Then I waited hours. And hours.
What I Learned
3D modeling is not just about making a shape. You have to think about:
- How it looks from every angle
- Lighting (SO important!)
- Colors and materials
- Whether it actually looks good or just… weird
Every small thing changes how the final result looks. It’s crazy!
YouTube Saved Me
I watched YouTube tutorials to learn how to use Blender. There are so many cool creators who show you step-by-step how to do things. That helped a LOT.
But honestly? The best way to learn is just… to do it. Make mistakes, try again, watch videos, make more mistakes.
So… What Now?
I finally finished the mushroom! It took way longer than expected, but I learned so much about how 3D modeling actually works.
Next time will be easier (I hope 😄). I want to make more 3D models and put them in my website to make it look cooler.
If you ever think “Oh, making 3D stuff looks easy!” - trust me, it’s not. But it IS fun. And it’s worth learning!
